Dr. Harold Finch’s life has been an amazing whirlwind of achievement:

-…As the NASA project director for temperature control for the Apollo lunar spacecraft he developed the

Barbecue Roll  made famous by Tom Hanks in Apollo 13.

-…As an engineer he became the youngest Principal in the history of Midwest Research Institute (now MRIGlobal).

-…As a two-time graduate of Kansas University he received the engineering school’s highest honor--the KU 2013

Distinguished Engineering Service Award and was placed on the school’s wall of fame.

-…As an entrepreneur he co-founded two INC 500 companies. Padgett-Thompson became the largest training firm

of its kind training over 400,000 business owners and managers in a single year.

-…As the charter academic dean he pioneered the opening of Johnson County Community College in record time—

one year. He later served as JCCC interim chief administrator.

At age 52 he and his wife Peggy sold it all in order to give back and to pursue their first love:

-…They founded the Wellspring Foundation and trained and assisted 1,200 volunteers from throughout the Midwest

to go on short-term service trips to 30 Third World countries.

-…Harold developed and presented a seminar, Great Success, and presented it pro bono in more than 750 venues on

five continents at international conventions, governments including state and federal congresses, a supreme court

and hundreds of universities and multi-national businesses.

In “retirement” his latest achievement is a movie Unlimited starring veteran cinema and television actor Fred Thompson who played Harold. It did exceptionally well in Kansas City and currently is playing in Europe, Australia and South Africa. It may be viewed on Amazon Prime, Pure Flix and Christian Cinema.

Harold is a proud Air Force veteran. He has been active in the Southern Baptist Convention and currently he co-chairs a Bible class with Peggy in Lee’s Summit where they reside. They have been married 62 years and have three married children, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
